Warring brothers Liam and Noel are often at each other's throats - despite their recent shows of affection with on-stage kisses.

Despite the endless scuffles between Liam and Noel, Ian remembers one magical session, away from the fans and record company executives, when Liam fell silent with admiration for his older brother.
"We had just finished a show in Hamburg and were on the coach going back to the hotel. Noel picked up his guitar and began to play some of the songs he had written for “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory”. He hadn't got all the words yet and some of the lines were ad-libbed. It was the quietest, most low-key occasion of the entire tour, and more rock and roll than anything I've ever heard.
We made Noel play each song three times. There were no drugs, just a few beers and a lot of Benson and Hedges. We stayed on that bus until three or four in the morning listening to Noel.I will always remember that moment.
Liam just sat there quietly, and every so often would say 'Tune, tune' - his word for brilliant.”
